James Blunt has addressed a rumour that he will sing for Prince William and Kate Middleton later this month.
The Royal Wedding takes place in London on April 29 and it was thought the So Far Gonesinger would be performing for the happy couple when they tie-the-knot.
The story started when James claimed he was asked to appear at the wedding in an interview earlier this year - but he now admits he was just joking when he made the comments.
"Like every English or British musician being asked one silly question too often, I gave a silly answer," he told Billboard, "and 4,400 websites picked up on it.
"It was really funny. My publicist was really nervous but, you know, it's all in good humour," adds James.
"I imagine it's going to be a traditional wedding, and at most traditional weddings they don't have pop stars playing."
